Soooo excited to share that our hilarious, gorgeous, heartbreaking production of Platée will be available to be streamed online for 6 months on @operavision.eu , starting Nov 15th! This is one of those shows I was so sad not to be able to watch top to tail myself and I can’t wait to sit down and take in every hilarious and glorious detail. This was recorded live this summer and features world class performances by @spamboden @robmuz @henrywaddington @jnthnmcg @ossianhuskinson and the whole @garsingtonopera chorus/alvarez young artists and our amazing dancers. Not to mention expert musical leadership by #PaulAgnew, the fab @englishconcert in the pit and brilliant direction by @littlemsbossy. What else could you ask for?!

Very excited to announce that Garden of Vanished Pleasures will have its world premiere next year in Toronto. Conceived and devised by director Tim Albery this new opera blends work by me and composer Cecilia Livingston and texts by Derek Jarman.

It was originally due to be performed in 2020 but due to Covid it only had a digital release, so I was very happy to hear that it will be staged live in Toronto as part of Soundstreams new season of productions... April 25-27 2025.

It’s opening night!!! Can’t wait to share some official shots from this hilarious, off the wall, colourful, zany, innovative show. For now, these little tastes will have to do. 😉
@garsingtonopera ‘s #Platée is a must-see show, with incredible music direction from the legendary Paul Agnew, leading one of the best period bands around the @englishconcert, a witty whimsical and whip smart concept and staging by the amazing @littlemsbossy, gorgeous design by @christopheroram, really outstanding singing by @spamboden @jnthnmcg @henrywaddington @ossianhuskinson Robert Murray and ALL of the Alvarez Young Artists singing both in solo and chorus capacities… this is a HUGE chorus show and they’re killing it (led by the fab Jonathon Cole-Swinard)! And last but not least our mega superstar dancers, executing mind bending choreography by Rebecca Howell.. they make us better performers by being inspiring colleagues and generally just making us look good 💅

More soon… but for now, a tad more rest before we leave it all out of the stage.
